Secretary GeneralI am yet to determine when exactly we hatched the idea for this organization, for it was never a single decision or ‘Aha!’ moment that led to the inception of Nyati. We, the initial members just so happened to live around the same area where we grew up as friends and family, ventured out for education and marriage but ultimately reunited where it all began.
After sharing stories of how life panned out, highlighting the various challenges we encountered, we realized a common issue was the lack of community in these modern times.
Simple issues like investment, finance and support in trying times were a major pain, and everyone struggled on their own. But discussions began on how we could utilize modern systems such as insurance, financial instruments and crowdfunding to alleviate the isolating effects of the current economic regime to one’s socioeconomic security.
After much research and consultations with experts, we devised ingenious solutions to these problems, with an added advantage of a forum which we could exchange ideas and vet opportunities.
